DONE. (like officially)

Yesterday was 8th grade promotion and that means I am officially graduated into high school...... but I still got four more years of high school to endure so lets not get too excited. After the ceremony my family and I went to Chipotle for dinner... not super fancy but hey,  it was goooood. When we got back into the car (six of us in the Acura because the minivan doesn't have air conditioning and it isn't very stable) Tanner said something very funny. Well, I'm not sure it was that funny, it was more of my dads reaction that gave it the comedy...
Tanner had sat down and said, "I'm kind of stuffed."
My dad replied with "That's the Chipotle effect."

Today was the last day of school. We spent the whole day doing nothing. And I'm not even exaggerating. my teachers set aside THREE whole hours for signing yearbooks... which is fun for like the first twenty minutes when the halls are lacking air conditioning. I put my signature in most peoples yearbooks with an arrow pointing to it saying "for when I'm famous" although I don't really want to be famous... I just didn't know what to write to people I hardly know and plus it seemed funny. At lunch the school provided little ice cream cups which I did not oppose. During lunch, Cameron, Lorin, and I went into Mr. Lee's room to say our farewells and sneakily rolled copied pictures of Ficuses into his paper towel dispenser. After lunch all the 8th grade went into the gym and watched a video the computer media teacher had made for us. At the end of the day everyone started crying and hugging each other and being all sentimental. I did not cry. I am just so glad to be done with middle school. It was a good three years at Akimel and i had a great experience. I'm excited to face the new challenges of high school and start the next chapter of my life.

Almost done!

This weekend was the eighth grade promotion dance. It allowed me to get a new dress and shoes. While other girls were getting their makeup done at the MAC counter and getting bad spry tans, I did my own makeup. Some of these girls were getting $200 dresses and treating the dance like senior prom. I got a dress that I would be able to wear to church again and my tan was all naturalé. It was a really fun expirience hanging out with my friends and seeing everyone's outfits. I must say my friends and I did not dance much since we kind if had a crappy DJ but just being with them was great. I went with my friends Sydney and Lorin. We went by one of the Lakewood lakes before the dance and brother Robbins took our pictures. Here is a couple from the lot!
(I believe this is one of the very few normal pictures we got)
Goofy faces!
Ugly faces (where are the boys?)
Awkward family photos.
Whatcha lookin at Sydney?

After the dance we went to IHOP and ate crepes and pancakes. We leagues at these picture and just had a good time. I'm so done with being in middle school and I'm so glad it's finally over!
