At the very beginning of summer my family traveled to Utah (with the exception of my dad because he had high adventure) to spend time with the mix family. We got there on a Thursday evening after a painfully long 11 hour car ride and that's all there was to that day. On Friday we went to my cousins house in Riverton and swam and chilled. We went to the Fault in Our Stars that evening, and let me say, that is one of the best adaptions from book to movie I have seen like EVER. Saturday was dedicated to the Sutherlands we did a "Temple Tour" which was when we went from the Oquirrh Mountain temple to the Jordan River temple to the Draper temple all in a days worth! While on the grounds my aunt Zalia started a "selfie war" we had to use the back camera on our phones to take a winning selfie without any knowledge of what it would look like. We had a barbecue in the evening and had fun with cousins. My cousin Josh had just returned from the London England south mission that Wednesday and we were going to attend his mission farewell... Which was amazing. It was followed by an open house which was equally great. On Monday morn' we went to a cabin for a mini family reunion with the mixes that could attend. My cousin Baylee and I pulled an all nightwr we just had tons of fun in the woods! We left the next morning only because we had another great adventure..... GIRLS CAMP!!
This years theme was anchored in Christ so it was fun to see all the ward cabins' nautical decor. It was a really fun experience and I can't wait for next year. For more on girls camp go to this link:

A week after girls camp, my family and I went to...."drumroll please"..... LAKE POWELL!! I have been wanting to go for forever after seeing pictures and hearing about it from various people over the years and I couldn't believe I was to blessed to go this year! We went for a whole week, Sunday to Sunday and it was one of the most fun weeks of my life! I learned to wake surf, I nailed wakeboarding, I went on jetskis for the first time and I just had a whole lot of fun living on a lake. I slept on the top deck under the stars for the first couple of nights and let me say, the stars were just unreal. With no light pollution since there was hardly any man made light for miles around, it seemed that every star in the universe was right before your eyes. The large rock formations and patterns in the rock were amazing. On one of the days were traveled to rainbow bridge and it was so cool like there are no other ways to say it, it was plain out cool. Although no one was prepared for the hike to it, and it was kind of hot, it was fun. On the last few days, the water would be perfect In the morning and it would get sort of windy early in the evening. That was kind of a bummer since it limited our play time. One day we went cliff jumping because it was a little to breezy for boating. we jumped off one cliff that was about ten feet high for a little but the boy found themselves a little more adventurous and decided that 25 feet in the air was a good adrenaline rush. the lake cops just happened to be out and about that day decided that the 25 foot cliff was not legal because the rule is 15 feet or lower.... luckily we didn't get a ticket we just didn't know. President Rodgers (the one that invited us) thought that it was all illegal and was happy to hear that we didn't completely break the law. we went for ice cream runs at dangling rope and all sorts of cool things. it was easily one of the best weeks of my summer, but we will have to see because I am going to EFY next week!
The past couple of weeks have been pretty chill with the exception of Tanner's baptism (my Sutherland grandparents traveled down for that event. I've seen them so often in the past couple months its no longer hard to say good bye!.... not sure if that's a good thing..) as for now I'm preparing for another trip to Utah and getting ready for highschool (I'm a freshman already!)
I will work on gathering pictures and put them on another post :)
